Spring break is one of the most anticipated times of the year. It’s the perfect opportunity for tired college students to blow off some steam, get away from all the deadlines, stress, assignments and exams. For many, it could be the last break they get before graduation.
There’s no better time than this to enjoy yourself and go on the adventure of a lifetime before you’re bogged down with work, responsibilities and the stress of assignments and courses. It can get boring and fairly meaningless to be attending parties nonstop, so if you’re an adventurer at heart, try something different this spring break and go on an exciting new trip.
You can do any of the following for the perfect escape:
Hike and bike through Yellowstone Park
Yellowstone is arguably one of the most well-known national parks in the U.S. With incredibly diverse terrain, including canyons, creeks, mountains, rock formations, vegetation and more, it’s a dream come true for adventurers. You can go hiking through the trails, explore the lakes and creeks, or hike up Mountain Washburn; you can also take advantage of the open roads and go biking across the park’s trails.
Go skiing in Wolf Creek
Wolf Creek Colorado is one of the best places to hit before the spring and summer warmth melt away the ice. You can still catch some snow and smooth slopes to explore over spring break, if you go early enough. Enjoy the cool weather, stay in a resort and enjoy Colorado’s laidback vibe.
Explore the Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon is one of the most incredible locations anyone can ever visit. If it’s not on your spring break bucket list, you might want to add it right away. Spend your days hiking across the canyon, following any of the trails, or climb up the rocks and enjoying the breathtaking real-life panoramas of red and orange.
Go kayaking in Ocala National Forest
The Ocala National Forest is a magical place in South Florida; with incredible vegetation and dense foliage, it’s truly picture-perfect. Step into an almost magical forest, enjoying the sunlight that filters through during your hikes, making your way to the Juniper Creek Run for a canoeing and kayaking adventure. Place your gear safely on the bank and hop onto a kayak, exploring the calm waters surrounding you.
You can still party and relax during your time off, but it’s worthwhile to add some adventure to the mix. It feeds your soul! Of course, no adventure is complete without our ultralight hiking gear and most comfortable daypacks. Order yours here!
