4. Take Your Time
Hiking requires discipline. If you go too fast, you’ll tire easily and the rest of the journey gets tougher. There’s this notion that in order to survive in a competitive world, we always need to be one step ahead of others. While that’s true in the corporate world, it doesn’t apply to personal development.
Hiking gets you to slow down and reminds you to what life is supposed to be cherished so take your time to soak up the scenery and savor this moment.
5. The Struggle Is Worth It
Once you’ve made it to the top, you can finally sit down and enjoy the breathtaking view from the summit. There are few places where you get to see panoramic scenes as captivating as those on the top of the mountain.
It makes the nights under the stars, the sore muscles and the food and water deprivation, totally worth it.
